A deeply racist member of the KKK in South Carolina plans to open a museum celebrating the history of the xenophobic organization. Racial tensions flare between the black community and the white redneck crowd. An African American minister unites his congregation in an attempt to prevent the museum from opening. In the meantime, the son of the Klan leader falls in love with a woman who begins to chip away at his racist upbringing. The conflict between the Klan leader and his son's evolving views creates tension against a background of intense social unrest generated by conflict between blacks and whites.
